In the keystone correction state (other than "0"), when the aspect ratio setting is changed from the [Zoom] mode to the [Character superimposed] mode, the picture is oversized vertically. When feeding a PAL signal, if the presence/absence of input is repeated, the folded left part of a picture appears at the right side. Incorrect control of the projector using the SIRCS CODE DIRECT signal. Erroneous spelling of the phrasing "No input" in Italian. Display of the message "Caution on Lamp Life" advising to replace the lamp (Cinema Black = ON: 2000 hours; Cinema Black = OFF: 1000 hours). In the operating state of the [for Control] function, it is possible to attribute a function key to a PowerPoint file. The slide show can then be run by selecting [Direct Slide Show]. SOLUTION Use CE Upgrader v3.0 and the attachment "FX51_0401ENG.ZIP" to upgrade the Network Software to v04.0401 (OS Build 04.0401) as explained in Technical Bulletin 06TV075. NOTES As the upgrade will reset all the settings, it is recommended to make a back-up copy first. User files, however, are not affected. Software for rewriting the Compact Flash (CF) memory is released simultaneously. In case the Compact Flash memory is damaged, reformat or replace it and use MakeCE v2.01 to write the system software to the memory as explained in Technical Bulletin 06TV074. Caution, only Sony and its authorized service shops (including service dealers) are allowed to replace the Network Software with this version. However, the display is normal for [INPUT-A], other inputs, and the on-screen menus. Switching [INPUT-C] off and on allows restoring the display. CAUSE Unstable [INPUT-C] starting operation resulting from not upgrading the software after the clock frequency of the SDRAM inside the graphic IC on the QB Board has been increased. SOLUTION Use the application "Make CE v2.01" to upgrade the software as explained below, referring to Technical Bulletin 06TV074. Remove the QC Board. Make sure that IC202 is of type "SM712GF4BA". Remove the CF Card and use the application "Make CE v2.01" to write the new software contained in the attachment "FX51_0403ENGCF.ZIP" to the memory. Afterwards, select [My Projector] on [INPUT-C] and check whether the "OS Build" version has changed from 04.0401 to 04.0403.
