Symptom: (2210) 1) After the unit has received and stored 200 Caller ID calls the unit will not seize the telephone line when attempting to answer an incoming call. The stored Caller ID information must be erased to restore proper operation. 2) While using the headset during a call in-progress, the receive audio will mute when receiving a call through the Call Waiting service. Solution: Replace microprocessor (IC1) on Main PCB with new revision microprocessor. Use same part number that is in the service manual. Stock in WRPC is new version microprocessor. ************************************************************************ Service Bulletin Symptom: Upgrade of new software release due to important improvements, including: 1.- Improved Remote commander capability. 2.- Channel adds Channel 1 and Add Channel function for both analog and Digital channels. 3.- Restore Parental control by accessing the Menu when temporary un-block was triggered. 4.- Improve the reported digital channels found during Auto-program and Channel Add functions. 5.- Improved Wide Zoom aspect. Solution: Upgrade the software on all MA1 chassis sets brought in for service to version QR2.1B using a USB device. IMPORTANT NOTE: Before writing any files to the USB device make sure it is formatted in FAT32. If you are not sure what format type is on USB device, back up any files on the USB and then perform the formatting process and select FAT32 type. (When reformatting, all files on the USB device will be deleted so be sure to make a back up copy of any files on the device before you begin.) 1. If for any reason an MA1 chassis set is brought in for service, confirm software version by entering service mode (DISPLAY + 5 + VOL UP + POWER) 2. If TVM version is previous than QR2.1, follow next steps. If version is newer than QR2.1, DO NOT upgrade (see annex for version naming reference) 3. Perform software upgrade using USB device. 4. Download sw package by clicking on the attached file. Use the following *.zip file: “E35782396-26_32_tvm_h_code_er50b_us_no_ow.zip” FOR 26” & 32” MODELS ONLY a. Uncompress and move all files to a USB device root directory 5. Turn the Power off on the set. 6. Insert the USB device into the USB service port on the back of TV set and turn the Power on. IMPORTANT: Do not remove the USB device until the entire upgrade is complete and a completed message appears on the TV screen. 7. When the upgrade is complete, remove the USB device and turn the Power off. 8. To complete the process, turn the Power back on. 9. Perform a TEST+REST by pressing both the UP arrow on the remote and the POWER button on the top of TV set at the same time. NOTE: Only the TVM version of the software needs to be updated thru USB device. Version QR2.2 and above should be considered as newer version and should not be modified. From QR2.1 version, there is a new way to read version name on service screen. Download the file attached to this bulletin and save it on your PC. 2. Prepare the USB device by formatting with the FAT32 file system 3.
