If the camera cannot upload data using RADAR-W for reasons other than faulty EEPROMs, then these components should be swapped. If the EEPROMs are damaged then the board should be replaced with out swapping the IC's. In other cases, a blue picture appears and the index pictures cannot be read. In some cases a formatting error occurs while recording. These troubles occur when the clock signal of the FD drive interferes with the RF system. The result is the Mavica cannot read the picture data correctly. The symptom will vary depending on the FD drive and the Floppy Disc. Solution: Add a 0.1uF chip capacitor to the soldering land of R759 (this resistor is not mounted) on the FC-72 board. This component blocks the clock signal from interfering with the RF system. Solution: The current USB drivers for these products have been updated. Please follow the steps below to verify the current version drivers that is loaded on the users PC and the procedure for updating them. Please note that the upgrade to version 5.2 can only performed if version 5.0 is currently installed on the users PC. Before you update . Confirm that the USB driver Ver. 5.0 is installed. The update is not carried out in other program version. To confirm the program version, please see Check the program version below. . Confirm that the product is recognized as a removable disk and the data in the disk can be accessed. Check the program version 1. Confirm the product is connected to the PC properly. 2. The USB connection is only supported by a full installation of Microsoft Windows 98 or Windows 98 SE (Second Edition). OS upgrades of any type (Win 95 to Win 98 or Win 98 to Win 98 SE) are not guaranteed and cannot be used during functionality testing. Solution: A workstation that has a full installation of Windows 98 or Windows 98 SE must be used to connect the current USB models. The User Manuals for these products explain the all the environments that customers can use like those found in a Macintosh.
