This condition may occur during shipping if a jolt to the monitor carton shifts the CRT toward the rear of the cabinet. The condition may occur if the corner mount screws for the CRT are not sufficiently tightened. Solution: If the customer complains of this symptom, then please perform the following correction procedure to reposition the CRT. NOTE: The following item (or equivalent) is required to complete this procedure. 1. Disassemble the CRT from the cabinet bezel. 2. Remove and discard any damaged sections of two-sided tape from the CRT and bezel surfaces. Clean both surfaces. 3. Examine the CRT and the cabinet bezel to determine any physical damage. 4. Remove and replace any broken parts or items showing structural damage. 5. Carefully bend the CRT corner mount brackets toward the rear if required. Replace the CRT if there are signs of permanent damage to the corner mount brackets. 6. Reassemble the CRT and cabinet bezel assembly. Raster Aging is necessary for warming the unit prior to adjusting set up. The Color Bars and White Patterns are useful for testing symptoms. The Built-In Raster Aging, Color Bars, and White pattern modes should be used for these purposes. Special procedures are required to enable the Built-In Raster Aging, Color Bars, and White pattern functions. Solution: Please refer to the following procedures to put the unit into the Built-In Raster Aging, Color Bar pattern, and White pattern modes. Use the procedures listed for the particular model. Failure of R129 causes missing or incorrect Red color. Failure of R229 causes missing or incorrect Green color. Failure of R329 causes missing or incorrect Blue color. If the customer complains of this symptom, then please perform the following procedure to replace (3) resistors on the A Board. NOTE: The following parts (or equivalent) are required to complete this procedure. The symptom occurs with older MAC type computer using Sync On Green. The VCO in the PLL circuit on the BB Board is shifting H Sync and V Sync phases. Effected KL-W7000 units have SN in the range 2000142-2000594. Effected KL-W9000 units have SN in the range 2000401-2000944. If the customer complains of this symptom, then please make the following changes on the BB Board. NOTE: The following parts may be needed to complete this procedure. Check the BB Circuit to confirm if R3024 is present and R3023 is missing. Then continue to Step 3. If R3024 is not present and R3023 is not missing. Then replace the BB Board and go to Step 5. 3. Remove R3024 ( 0 . Chip Resistor ) from the component side. 4. Install R3023 ( 0. Chip Resistor ) to the labeled location on the conductor side. 5. Reassemble the unit. 6.
